Budapest, 2013. december 2. - Lezárta az Európai Bizottság a Sajóládi, a Girincsi Nagy-erdő és a Csaholc Garbolci Natura 2000 erdők ügyében indított kötelezettségszegési eljárásokat. A magyar erdőgazdálkodás maradéktalanul teljesíti az uniós természetvédelmi elvárásokat - közölte a Vidékfejlesztési Minisztérium hétfőn az MTI-vel.
A Vidékfejlesztési Minisztérium intézkedéseinek köszönhetően lezárultak azok a kötelezettségszegési eljárások, amiket még 2008 és 2010 között indított Magyarország ellen az Európai Bizottság a Natura 2000 erdőkben történt, jellemzően illegális fakitermelések miatt.
A közlemény szerint a Bizottság elsősorban azt kifogásolta, hogy a magyar hatósági felügyeleti rendszer nem ad megfelelő védelmet a közösségi jelentőségű erdei élőhelyeknek.
A tárca hangsúlyozza, hogy első lépésként az erdészeti hatóságok egy rendkívül szigorú Natura 2000 hatásvizsgálati rendszert vezettek be, amelyet az Európai Bizottság is elfogadott és eredményesnek ítélt.
A Vidékfejlesztési Minisztérium ezután a hatásvizsgálatokból fakadó korlátozások ellentételezésére 2012-ben a vidékfejlesztési forrásokból elindította a Natura 2000 erdő kompenzációs támogatást, amely az egyik legsikeresebb erdészeti vidékfejlesztési intézkedés lett. A minisztérium és az erdőgazdálkodók együttműködése azzal vált teljessé, hogy az uniós elvárások teljesülését megfelelő EU-s források hozzárendelésével biztosították - áll a közleményben.
